The Silver Eagles Football Club is a more than just a football club. It tells the illustrious story of a humble yet dignified community of young footballers. The Club was formally established in 2022. Prior to this the players played in their inform settings with challenges of a good football pitch, quality football and equipment generally or pitches that are safe to plat, but the kids play, anyway, because this is all they have.
In a world where now parents are focusing more and more on elite travel teams, and spend small fortunes on private coaching, expensive equipment, swag and travel to tournaments ,the underserved communities face the brunt of being locked out of the opportunity to play soccer.
Parents of these players from the undeserved communities simply can’t invest the money to sign their kids up for sports. They can’t easily take time off work to transport their children to local practices or volunteer as coaches — let alone pay for pricey equipment and drive hundreds of miles every weekend for travel leagues. The parents’ lack of resources isn’t the only reason children who are growing up in poverty or in low-income households often don’t get to play sports. There’s also the issue of community resources.
Over the past one year, we have functioned true to our original objective of reaching out to and developing football in the grassroots. What started as simple weekend sessions has bloomed into full-fledged football coaching camp, educational and societal development programs bringing a positive influence on the lives of young players. While there is a sense of satisfaction at what we have achieved thus far, the overriding feeling is that our work has just begun, and we have a long, long way to go. It is now time that we at Silver Eagles reevaluate our aspirations, restructure our goals and review our methodology.
Over the past year, no stone was left unturned in seeking out newer avenues where we could have conceivably made a difference. With the available resources, we must be more prudent now and ensure that we fully reap the benefits of our past efforts by adopting the mantra of consolidation.
Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion has been second to none. We believe that sports and football, in particular, inherently offer a transferrable set of skills for social development, through team building, acceptance and discipline. We at Silver Eagles choose specific issues that the undeserving players face and shape our sessions around building some specific and necessary life skills. Football acts as the messenger. Specific game topics include, but are not limited to; saving, nutrition, HIV/AIDS, hygiene and child rights. All said and done, the biggest factor that enables us to use football as a tool to connect and bring about social development is quite stunningly simple. Football is fun! We believe we can bring about increased learning and engagement through utilizing this.

Through our program, we inculcate world football standards that enable them to compete internationally should an opportunity arise.
By providing the kids with equipment they need to be on a team, we create a sense of uniformity and bring to life the mantra that football makes us equal.
By developing and educating players on how to make a difference, through best academy philosophy in the world.
